Multiple District 4 California Lions



On Saturday evening, March 21, 2020, from 6 pm to 10 pm at the Hilton Pasadena International Ballroom, Pasadena Host Lions Club will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary.

Pasadena Host Lions Club was chartered on March 26, 1920 by Lions Club International, and is one of the oldest Lions Clubs still serving its community in the world.

At this 100th Anniversary Event, Pasadena Host Lion Club will be honoring the following organization and individuals:

1.The City of Hope – Founded in 1913 and dedicated to making a difference in the lives of people with cancer, diabetes and other life threatening illnesses.  City of Hope is one of 49 comprehensive cancer centers in the United States, as designated by the National Cancer Institute.  

2.Claire & Bill Bogaard – Claire is well regarded for her active participation in a variety of community groups and is recognized for her generosity and work with various organizations in Pasadena.  She is co-founder of Pasadena Heritage, a well known nonprofit historic preservation organization.  Bill is an attorney and former professor at University of Michigan and USC.  Most notably, Bill is the longest serving mayor of Pasadena from 1984 to 1986 and from 1999 to 2015.
